Not trying to compete with Cogstars excellent TR but I hapened to be up in Kentmere about a fortnight ago (10/10/10) but was "restricted" from posting these photos until I got some work done.
parked up at Kentmere Church and walked up the valley to ascend up onto the ridge via Gavel crag.
Once on the ridge I walked south to Sour Howes and back to the car. Weather was very favourable.

Oohn they both lookl fab! I particularly love the layers one of the mountains.
I love it when the light is like that.
