Anyone contemplating doing the C2C will be pleased to hear that the improvements to the path at Nine Standards Rigg have now been completed.

Hope you enjoy your walk TinTin and Mick. Looks like you will miss each other by a few days. Not sure if I'm fit enough to do the entire walk in one go, but I have done bits of it. It certainly seems to be a great walk.

Great news, just in time for us to start from this weekend!
Nine Standard was one of the black spots I marked. Hope it's dry.

I wonder if they might extend it a bit, still some potentially boggy bits just after the path stops, though we were pretty lucky as it was almost dry underfoot (I got nominated as bog tester!
, as suggested by the guidebook we were using).
