What's on your "to do" list for 2015?
« on: 19:42:50, 13/11/14 »
I know 2014 is not over yet but as the nights are drawing in, the amount of walking gets less and less and thoughts are already thinking about next years walks. I'm hoping to do 2 or 3 National Trails and also to add to my amount of Wainwrights as I can see why some people find them addictive as they bag each one.

So, what are on your "to do" list for 2015?
LDWs done - 32 in total including 16 National Trails and 3 C2C

Wainwrights 176

I am planning on walking the Cotswold Way. It is my local walk so I am going to attempt it piecemeal. I have a week off coming up so I may start it then. Not 2015 but as you say; close enough.

Assuming i don't do any of these in the short time we have left this year....

Tryfan (north ridge)/Bristly Ridge
The rest of the Welsh 3000's that i've yet to do (6 down 9 to go!)
Aonach Eagach/Another trip to Glencoe
Snowdon Horseshoe (via Crib Goch) for the 3rd time.  Perhaps more.  Love it!
At least 1, perhaps 2-4 trips to the Lakes.  Hopefully taking my Wainwright tally of 26 to beyond 50.
If they don't like you going out, they'll love you coming in!

I want to take a trip up north even for me to do the Munros, Ben Wyvis, Ben Hope and Ben Kilbreck,

A trip down Memory lane and stay at The Clunie Inn and have a weekend on the South Glen Sheil Ridge and the Five Sisters of Kintail.

I want to revisit the Breacon Beacons as I have not been there for a few years and enjoy a couple of days with a bit of canoe work on the Wye.

My brother has just bought a house in Crieff and it needs a lot of work, I want to help out and hopefully get my climbing partner back out on the hills again. Being that he currently lives in Belgium he has had little in the way of mountains to pass the time.

The Welsh hostel meet, the Lakes Hostel meet and the Glencoe hostel meets I am particularly looking forward too.  O0

Cape Wrath Trail (solo)
Pennine Bridleway with Dog.

At least one early long rock climbing trip. A week in Kintail/Skye climbing in the winter, a summer week on Mull and a week on the Ardnamurchan. A couple of weekends in the lakes, to Snowdonia at least once a month - more if the winter turns into a good one. A rock climbing trip to Spain in the autumn.

Will think of more things to do. I have been walking since I was 13 so have done most of the things on the average tick list.

The trips I planned but didn't get round to this year.  Trouble is I spend evenings reading maps and planning trips and filing them away for later. I have enough stacked up to see me through next year but it won't stop me planning more.

Yup me too, and that's where it becomes so frustrating, there is just not enough time to do it all, when I have to juggle, Grandpa duties, chores for SWMBO and what was that other thing? OH yes - WORK :(

Still it all makes every trip even sweeter when you get out there ;D ;D

My remaining 60 odd wainwrights - only bagged 6 or 7 new ones this year

The Lakeland 50 in under 15 hours - did 17 hrs 03 minutes this year

And if I can get up to Scotland I have a real yearning to do Stob Dearg
