Clouds are a mixed blessing to us outdoor types, they often herald a drenching and the obliteration of a good view, but where would a good sunset/rise be without them?
A sizable proportion of my mountain yompings have done in low cloud which can be infuriating, but are not the magic moments, long remembered when you emerge grom the mists to reveal a stunning view? A welcome cloud can also provide shade from a blistering sun (apparantly)
A keen eye the sky's ever changing face can provide another enjoyable element to any walk.
Anybody got any good cloud stories or photographs?
PS. From my office window it's wall to wall wet nimbo-stratus, the darkening Pennines draped in low cloud.
