Hello I am not new to walking but I am new to this forum, I've been walking alone for the past two years, I don't know any other walkers at all so I'm hoping to find some walking friends (even if it's only online) because I feel like it's time to reach out to other walkers.

Hi Walk666; welcome from the windswept Orkney Islands. :)
I spent most of my childhood years in Lincolnshire - still visit often as I have family there. Favourite walks there are the Water Rail Way east of Lincoln along the banks of the Witham, and the woods around Woodhall Spa. Gibraltar Point south of Skeggy lovely too.

Hi Richardh1905 I love the Spa trail in Woodall, mind you I bet the Orkneys are amazing :)

Orkney can be lovely when the weather is kind - just been out for a 6.5 mile walk this morning - two beaches and a superb clifftop walk, back along quiet roads and farm tracks.

Sounds ideal, I love being near the sea but I'm a little inland, I must get out to the coast soon.
