Good pics there. We also came across Ewbank Scar unexpectedly.  We stayed a couple of nights in Nateby last year on our wayback from Scotland in the hope that we could walk up to Nine Standards and actually see something this time (we did :) ), unlike when we did the C2C and didn’t see a thing! We planned the walk from Nateby taking the first footpath from the B road and coming back from Nine Standards on the C2C route. Some of the path before Ewbank Scar proved a bit tricky as it had been closed for some time for repair and not been walked a lot.

No, not really. The worst bit (I'm led to believe) between Nine Standards and White Mossy Hill has been paved and restoration is underway. Some marshy areas to negotiate between Mossy Hill and Dukerdale but nothing huge or deep; maybe I got lucky with the route I took. In hindsight I'd probably avoid the open moor and try to get to one of the 'paths' a little earlier

I really fancy doing this one. Do you use GPS at all, I. E. Do you post your gpx files anywhere?

I don't have that particular route but here are two that cover it between them or provide an alternative.
https://osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/1914645/120601-Nine-Standards
https://osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/1911410/150127-Dukerdale-Head  (this has a slightly better return line than the OP).
If you want something slightly more challenging involving High Peak as well
https://osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/route/1914690/120123-High-Peak-Nine-Standards

You should be able to stitch something together from those.

Really grateful, Ninthace, I should be able to cobble those to the route as described.
