Parking - Tyn-y-Fridd
« on: 10:51:25, 23/11/17 »
I'm considering walking in the Berwyns this weekend, from Tyn-y-Fridd. Any idea where it may be possible to leave a car? I was considering around the log cabins of Maengwynedd but perhaps someone else knows better?

I assume that you are looking to walk Cadair Berwyn and that you haven't already gone unless you have taken waders.
As an alternative you could park at Pistyll Rhaeadr at the end of the road from Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant. There is free parking 200 yards before you enter the gated waterfall site and a defined path to Cadair Berwyn

Let's just say I won't be coming with you.  :D

Lot of roads flooded in Powys last night. Temp in the Berwyns forecast at freezing point for rest of this week with added wind chill but come the weekend - more rain.

There's space for 2 or 3 cars at grid ref: SJ 11868 30631 but you need to get there early if it's a weekend.
