Whilst on holiday in Suffolk, a total stranger to the area, called into the museum at Dunwich... what an incredible story of the lost town!

Lovely pics and report. Even though I live in Suffolk, and do many walks each year around Dunwich and Walberswick, you always manage to provide more history than I know about! That red boat on the beach at Dunwich, I have many photos of that! A seal often pops up along the coast, we last saw one at Shingle Street. We once had our lunch by the ruins of the leper chapel, a lovely peaceful place. The path near the priory is further inland than it used to be due to coastal erosion, and I’m sure more bits will be diverted soon. Adnams Kobold lager is new, they’ve only just started producing it. We are heading up there on Wednesday, parking at Dunwich Heath to see the heather.
