After the massive thunderstorm and flash flooding last time I was there, I hope not!

Imagine, if you will, being slowly baked in a large, metal oven.

.... aye, it'll be too hot.  I wish there was some sort of thin, almost mesh like material that would keep the mozzies out but let the fresh air in....

Off up Kinder again today, this time via Red Brook!  A long scramble with a few tricky bits apparently!
Oh well, it sure beats being glued to the news channel like some folk! :D

Not being remotely interested in football, I had another go at a 4 mile 500 m accents challenge I set myself about 18 months ago.  My previous best time was 1:03.  I am very happy to report that tonight I finally broke the hour.  I did run all the down hill sections, though.

I'm guessing that is in the lowlands.

I went a circular walk from Amberley Station today, going over the South Downs to Burpham and through the Arun valley via North Stoke. A glorious walk of rolling hills, lush riverside meadows, and fine views.

I walked all the way around Combs Moss on Thursday.  Looked more like Autumn in places with the Bilberry plants being a burnt orange colour rather than green!... :o
The plants are certainly suffering through lack of water...

Bwlch Tyddiad to Bwlch Drws Ardudwy, over the top of Rhinog Fawr.
I completed the walk from the Trawsfynydd side this afternoon, and i am physically wrecked.
I recon the distance was less than five miles, but what a five miles, felt more like twenty.
The hardest walk i have ever completed, and this dreadful heat did me no favours.

I walked the Chidham peninsula in Chichester Harbour today.  A beautiful walk beside creeks and marshes, with boats on the water, and with an atmosphere of serenity and often of solitude.  A lovely walk for a hot summer's day.
