I'm not sure you always need a campsite. Layby's and other 'quiet' places would be ok? Who knows if you are sleeping or parking?.. or who carers?

Yes, lay-by's and pub car-parks are the back up options. However, given the choice, being able to shower, plug in electricals etc. is the preferred option, that and the safety aspects I suppose.

I don't at present, I'll take a quick look to see how to set one up. So far I have been getting sponsorship and collecting as I see people.

Well thank-you all for your messages of support. The Planning phase has finished now, we are travelling down tomorrow and the walk starts gently on Saturday and in earnest on Sunday.
I can't believe that its really happening, but I just want to get started.
Hopefully I will be on line from time to time.
