I'm going to Haworth next week, three days, Tue/Wed/Thurs. Not been for a few years. The weather forecast doesn't look too good, I'm booked in the YH.
Ilona
I only managed 20 miles over the three days. The weather was pretty miserable, and fffffreeeezing cold. Went to Oakworth first day. 2nd day walked to Keighley, raining so got a bus to Saltaire and looked around Salts Mill, bus back to Keighley, walk back to hostel. 3rd day met a friend and went for coffee at Haworth, she went home and I walked 8 miles. On the blog now. £31 for two nights B & B. Bargain.

Decided Dartmoor and Exmoor were best left today, - high possibility of snow/sleet showers, wind chill and still wet underfoot from Storm Emma. Opted for a walk up the River Otter from the coast and some exploration of the green lanes north of Otterton to make a loop of it. It turned out to be a lot more interesting than I thought. Loads of over the lace holes mud, track blocked by fallen tree, a path that had become a stream with water up to my gaiters and the aptly named Rickety Bridge was out and barbwired shut. On the return path by the Otter in places there was as much grip as a wet hard boiled egg on a non stick pan. Just another day at the office.
Finished after the walk in the pub in Otterton, near the Otter with a pint of Otter which was otterly delicious.

I walked on the South Downs today from Woodingdean on the outskirts of Brighton to Lewes. Very windy but fine, bright and mild and I saw some beautiful violets in a patch of woodland

Friday was a circular on the SWCP from Beer round towards Sidmouth returning inland via Branscombe. Lots of up and down which Mrs N did not enjoy. There isn't enough soap in the house to clean me up after all the dirty looks she gave me. Still no shortage of mud either. Ended up enjoying a beer in the Barrel of Beer in Beer.

Brilliant walk on Dartmoor today. I learnt a few things about trying to walk in deep snow too. 7.5 miles in 6.5 hours.
Found a Nice spot for lunch up on Fordsland Ledge.
