Hi, I'm back, my username is used to be' mountaingirl', but I couldn't log in! :-\ Since my email changed, I couldn't reset my pwd. So I registered with a slightly different name. These days, I'd rather out walking instead of sitting with my PC. So, I haven't come here for a long time. Now, I am planning to go to Cyprus to escape this gloomy winter and do a little bit of walk. I wanted to see if somebody's been there. I have to post 25 times before I can access international. see if I can clock up ::) ...

Welcome back :)
Don't blame you for escaping - today is really abysmal in Devon

Oh, have you done lots of walks? ..was it in the south or north?
-
Walked pretty much every day, mainly around Paphos but some up in the Troodos mountains

I'll ask you more about it when I clocked up 25 posts on international thread. O0

Welcome back, I remember hiking the West Highland Way with you. That's was the last time I had a diet Coka-Cola as well, never one since. Isn't it funny what the brain remembers?

Thank you for warm welcome everyone.

I've walked a part of West Highland Way, but it was before I joined this forum... You may be thinking of somebody else. I have mixed up forum members myself and can't alway tell who is who for the rest. will see if I can get my memory back. ;)

Are you Ruth? If so you are the lady that I was writing about, if not I've made a mistake and I'm very sorry.

No, I'm not, but don't worry. I do it all the time. now I can't remember who Ruth was.... :P sorry Ruth

Having nothing better to do on yet another dark, wet, miserable day in paradise/Exeter I looked back and in June 2012 you, then known as 'Your advocate', walked the WHW with 'Yorksgal' (Ruth) and 'Summit' (Graeme).
Sadly all Ruth's photos (and many others that I came across when looking for WHW TRs) are no longer viewable as they were hosted by tinypics

That's it Jac, Yorksgal! Thank you for finding out for me. I really enjoyed that walk!

You're welcome :) Any excuse not to go out in this ********** weather. Sad though that so many photos have been lost, at least to the forum.

Welcome from Somerset

Welcome back mountaingal :)
I remember a brief work visit to Cyprus years ago - arrived at the borehole site in a field - the first thing that the drillers did was sit me down in front of an oil drum fire and ply me with toasted olive bread and a glass of red wine!

If I remember correctly, Derek from Kent gave me hand to pull you up that section. Happy days 8)

Happy days 8)
They certainly were Kev :D
I met up with a couple of dodgy looking blokes from those days on Wednesday. They were up in the Peaks for a week.
Remember the ‘Norfolk Roll’? ;D
If so, you’ll know who I was walking with ;)

Happy day, indeed. Derek even lent me his tent and mat for the camping.
