I believe he's on the way to recovery, Jenny, and back out on the hills.  Was on here a few days ago talking about Applecross, I seem to remember.

Hehe, apart from a (permanently) "dead" area about three inches across on my lower back, I'm almost perfect again..I did spend a few days in Applecross (staying in the wishbones or wigwams) and snow-holing (well, slush-holing nearly), but I was as unfit as I have ever been, very slow...My son and nephew carried everything apart from the sleeping bags and were still held up by me. Had a great time in Applecross but have still a great fear of heights and no desire to cross over and try that Munro (Inaccessible Pinnacle) that made me decide I would never bag them all..

Still very, very scared of heights. Even more now...
