Loughrigg fell to Nab Scar part two
« on: 18:58:38, 12/02/19 »
After descending Loughrigg fell I ascended Silver How. These fells should not be underestimated because of a low height. This section proved a lot harder than I imagined. I had lunch on the descent from Silver How to Grasmere before ascending to Alcock Tarn. I actually found Grasmere to Nab Scar via the tarn easier than Loughrigg to Silver How. With a reduced Sunday winter timetable, this walk is convenient for anyone staying in Grasmere/Rydal or Ambleside using 599/555 service.

Great pics henry  O0 The route up Silver How from Loughrigg is longer than you expect it to be with all the ups and downs. I do like these fells and I never tire of doing them :)

Lovely pictures, I love these fells, the views are wonderful and the walking is so much better than you think it's going to be.

A grand day there and nice photos. Much of the snow gone already I see.

A great part two for your TR and more splendid photos.
The view down off Silver How towards Elterwater shows the road into Langdale to be busy with traffic. At least you avoided getting stuck with the hordes.
Only a hill but all of life to me, up there between the sunset and the sea.
