TR-Pateley Bridge Circular

A lovely town in Nidderdale,well worth a visit,big car park only £1.80p for the day.
Route was Pateley-Glasshouses-Dacre Bank-Heyshaw-Bewerley-Pateley
Sections of the Nidderdale Way used,a fine walk & a few geocaches found on the way!!


Pateley Bridge

Stone Circle

Glasshouses Dam

Sheeple in Glasshouses dont throw stones

Trackbed,Harrogate-Pateley

Highest Point 1073ft

Yorke,s Folly

Beautiful Bewerley

Great weather & a very enjoyable 10 miles  O0

And i ask those who know...what size should i use when posting pics from Postimages, i used 640x480 but they look small ??

It's a nice area, often overlooked. My mother did fleetingly consider moving to Pateley Bridge at one time.

They look 640x480 when you click on them and a new window opens. No idea why they are smaller in the forum; not familiar with postimages, I'm afraid.


Try looking for a 'direct link' on postimages, and copy that into the image pop up box on this forum, that is what I do with imgbb.


I typically use 800 wide, by the way, but I crop my photos first before resizing.

Forgot to mention..
While on my way i came across a "please keep dogs on lead" printed sign laying on the ground.
Picked it up & thought "where can i put this",ok i,ll hook it on that fence,forgetting it was electric(i was warned).
An odd feeling that ive experienced a few times before,they work  :D

Looks good. PB is nice but can get rammed for parking. What trackbed? Ex railway? Don't think I know it.
