Today we did one of my Lazy Tuesday walks. We started from Mill Hill Broadway, and went through Mill Hill Park, Arrandene Open space, then along a disused railway line, across a golf course, and Sunnyhill Park to old Hendon. Then along the Mutton Brook, the the Little and Big Woods, the Hampstead Heath Extension to finish in Golders Green tube.
Misty and atmospheric with skeletal trees..

Thank you. I took these using my phone which does have a quite a good camera for a phone.

Wow very near me, Big Wood is very relaxing especially in Winter, peace and quiet away from busy north west london!

I've put the GPX file MillHillBrdway2GoldersGreen for the route in the Lazy Tuesday walks folder in http://www.clog.org.uk/p/past-events.html (http://www.clog.org.uk/p/past-events.html). I plotted the route using mapping software before doing the walk and it proved pretty accurate except for the Arrandene Open Space part which is always confusing - best to just find your own route through Arrandene Open Space...

Thanks Blue Swan. I have downloaded your GPX, as my version of Memory Map does not allow me to directly import gpx. files I have re-acquainted myself with Babel (https://www.gpsbabel.org/)and converted the .gpx to .mmo and now can see on my digital mapping where your route goes. I am interested in the green spaces you have photographed and written up but your start and destination points do not really suit where I would be staying in N.London. I am now able to see possibilities, which might suit me, when I am staying with grand children, so this has been a very useful exercise.
