Slievenamiskan and Hen
« on: 20:30:15, 10/11/20 »
When I was on leave last Tuesday I travelled down to the western Mournes to climb Sleivenamiskan and Hen mountain. The route was circular. I followed Rocky river from the car park before climbing SLeivenamiskan. When summiting I noticed the eastern Mournes clagged in while the western Mournes were cloud-free. Was glad I picked the western Mournes on this occasion. I descended the western side of the mountain and made the short traverse of Hen mountain. I met a group of rock climbers on the summit before descending back to the car park. Total distance was 7km.

Thanks April and beefy :)  I think those mountains would probably be Slieve Gullion and the Carlingford ranges on the programme. Hen is a nice mountain, its perfect for a short walk :)  You can reach the summit within 30 minutes from the car park.
