Hi
« on: 08:49:13, 02/06/20 »
Hi there! I'm from near Carmarthen and now have some time on my hands at last. I haven't hiked 'seriously' for years, but did do some solo hiking for 6 weeks in northern Norway last year. It was incredibly beautiful. I enjoy to wildcamp wherever possible, with utmost respect for nature and a leave no trace philosophy. Also, being alone on the trail doesn't bother me. In fact, I love it. :)

Welcome!  I used to hail from those parts, agree that it takes some getting over the beauty of the place!

Hopefully you can get out for some wild camping later this yea...  Particularly when you've got so much of it close to you.

Welcome from Manchester  :)
The hills near Carmarthen are superb, we've had some excellent wild pitches there. Any more trips down to that area won't happen for a long time unfortunately due to the risk of travelling by train  :(

Welcome from the southern edge of the Lake District. I'm just itching to do some wild camping too.

Yes. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. It's drizzling here, at last, today, and the sweet smells of nature have me champing at the bit to go wandering. Patience, patience!  :(
