I bought a warm and thin beanie from Decathlon this morning, £1.99 and then ran just over 5km. Perfect!

I think the 15 minute documentaries after the Radio 4 1.00pm news are a really great bargain. I've been listening daily since Monday about how the Nazi's rose to power in Germany in the 30s, two more days to go, gripping stuff!

A neighbour gave me a free and unopened container of 'wash n' proof' yesterday. Has anybody used this product before? If so, is it any good?

Looks suspiciously like the Grangers product Wash & Repel. I bet it's the same.

My wife wents to Boots this morning and bought me back an anti-bacterial hand gell in a small bottle, with a carabiner already attached, just right to hang on my rucksack and to be instantly available. What a simple and useful idea.

Hello,

Sometimes when my knees are feeling bad in the morning, I decide to bring my scooter which is on sale now : Razor A5 Lux Kick Scooter
. Its pretty good if you don't feel like walking too much. Its a bit poor when it comes to off-road as the wheels often lodge themselves in the earth, but it runs very smoothly on asfalt and tarmac. I know this is a little off-topic, but it's a good deal of a good product which i recommend hightly.
He was both everything I could ever want…

Highly off topic if you don't mind me saying, because walking equipment is what is being posted in this thread, no matter how much you recommend your unrelated item.

I've mentioned this before but feel the need to mention it again. I bought a £30 Lowe Alpine waterproof hat some time ago, its the model that has a peak and designed to cover the wearer's ears. Ideal when its cold, wet and windy and great when worn under the hood of my waterproof jacket. But I then lost it, I left it on a bus.

I searched around on the internet and nearly bought another one but I also noticed a similar model made by Highlander. It looked the same but it only cost £10 so I bought one and I've never regretted it.

I've worn this hat a few times now and I can honestly say that I believe it to be superior to the Lowe Alpine hat, they are both equally waterproof but the Highlander fits much better and covers my ears more comfortably.

If I manage to climb to the top of Great Gable next November 11th I guarantee it will be on my head. On the previous two occasions that I climbed to the summit it was bitterly cold and windy. For me, wearing this type of hat in that type of weather is absolutely essential!
