Hi all........just getting back into walking after quite a long break. A few years ago a mate and myself would make a bi-weekly trip to the Lakes or North Wales for our fix of fells and mountains. Starting a business and one or two other things happening sadly put a stop to our fun. I have done the odd walk every 12 months or so but not really had the time to do anything more regularly. I'm now (hopefully) in a position to get back onto the fells more often
Had my first walk for a while last Saturday......a very early start to avoid the forecasted bad weather (4.30 start from Kendal........parked up at Cow Bridge at 5.15) Up Dovedale onto Dove Crag, very misty and damp on the summit, headed north onto Hart Crag and the back down to Brothers Water via Hartsop Above How. Back home for mid morning. Very enjoyable even if the weather was crap.
Planning another trip over the bank holiday weekend.
