Well this was possibly the shortest scenic walk I've ever done (and probably of no interest to anyone on here ha) - but we did have a 2,4 & 7 year old so thought it suited. I'd never been before to Hardraw Force (seemed too accessible) but needs change when bringing kids along ;-) However - the view of the waterfall on this little stroll was very impressive, especially in autumn!

I thought I'd share some pics as Hardraw Force really is worth a visit if you are in the area and doing other walks. It's also very accessible - perfect for young kids or the elderly or not very mobile - and there may not be too many walks on here like that.

Anyway - here's some photos and if you are interested - I have a little blog post on this Hardraw Force waterfall walk https://www.hikingphotographer.uk/2020/10/hard%20raw-force-waterfall-walk-map-hawes.html

It's only a 0.6 mile round-trip :-) flat all the way if you choose the low level

Thanks for that wildCAMPER.

I parked my car in Hardraw twice whilst walking stages of Pennine Way, but it was either too dark or I was too tired to go to see falls. Must admit after the floods in March, I should really have gone there first as it would have been spectacular... Drove past Aysgarth Falls on the way, they were incredible a foaming creamy mass of water easily seen when passing by in the car!

Lovely colours.  Unfortunately, when I did it  the pub was shut. I incorporated the Force into a route I called the Hawes Stile Fest.

There are around 40 stiles on the route.

When the pub is closed you can gain access to the falls through the churchyard.
