I can vouch for the "first path" that goes north of Stanedge Grange through Horseshoe Plantation. Can't remember bad terrain but I've taken my walking group over there and they're not an adventurous lot these days.

The sheep are tups, hence the broad, aggressive, rather grumpy faces. They always look like bovver boys looking for a scrap.

I like the circular hut. And I think that the sheep might be Texels - Tups as snaderson says. Ugly brutes.

I've seen some of those sheep in the Yorkshire dales....ugly brutes.
