Hi,
Anyone got any recommendations for a 2 day point to point walk?
Other half can drop me off on day 1 and pick up on day 2 so chance to do a route that doesn't require me to get back to my car
Wild camp on night 1
Cheers!

Meant point to POINT (but maybe point to PINT would actually be better!)

I think we may need a more to go on. How far/long do you want to walk each day and in which part(s) of the country?

Hi,
Probably around 6 hours each day so circa 10-12 miles accounting for breaks etc
Peak District National Park, ideally high level (or as high as it gets there!)
Cheers

I'm a point to pint person, I don't think I would hike if I wasn't. Sorry, apart from the beginning of the Pennine Way I don't know the Peak District.

I’m new to this walking malarkey but I’ve been in this area for a few days. How about going from Edale and doing the start of the Pennine Way, maybe leaving the path to go to Glossop for a decent meal with the Mrs at pick up? It’s a beautiful area around there, although not sure about Glossop. I went to Edale, Hope, Castleton and a few other places.

Not my area I’m afraid, I haven’t walked that area in over 50 years but looking at the map, have you considered the Monsal Trail from Bakewell to Monk’s Dale then pick up the Limestone Way up Castleton then ad lib from there to Edale and Hope?

I don't know how well you know the Peaks but I've tried to link together what I think are some of the highlights.
I've never camped on Lords Seat but found a video of these 2 doing so
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sx1R0irqVIHathersage - North Lees - Stanage Edge - Stanage End - Bamford Moor - Bamford (Sorry about this bit but you could get a swift pint) - Thornhill - Win Hill - Hope - Lose Hill - Mam Tor - Lords Seat - Edale Cross - Kinder Low - Kinder - Snake Path - Ashop Clough - Snake Inn.

One of the blokes is not wearing his rucksack very well, too far down his back. Just saying!

When I camped and hiked in the Peak District .
This is the route I used .
Advise map OL Explorer OL1.
Edale around Kinder Scout Circular
Start at Nags Head pub in Edale .
Follow the Pennine Way to Upper Booth then up
Jacobs ladder.
Edale rocks to Kinder low and Kinder Downfall and Kinder ( Can be Boggy here ):
And return via Grindsbrook Clough to Edale about 11 miles

You can do Bakewell to Castleton, white peak to Dark peak, I’m planning on doing this early next year.
Edale Skyline route is about 20 miles and should give you plenty of places to camp on the route.
Again plannning on doing this as well,
Will probably stay at campsites though as I like point to pint!

You might be better off subscribing to the OS website, That will give you all the maps you need and since you are planning inside the National Park, the
snap to function will lay out your routes for you. That will give you accurate distance measurement and an elevation profile. When you have settled on a route, you can print it off and use the OS app or ViewRanger on your phone to navigate it.
