I took this picture many years ago. I found the house name and the instruction below slightly chuckleworthy

I thought that was brilliant, GP, well spotted (and snapped)  O0 .

Wish I could speak the same for my wife and two sons, who I forwarded it to.
The responses I got were along the lines of "I suppose that was meant to be a joke?"
Miserable lot, they just don't appreciate the finer points of life like we do.

Made me laugh too - I hate those "No turning" signs - I think it is Bill Bryson who said he deliberately turns round whenever he sees one just to annoy the householder.

Off at a tangent, there is a house in Ruthin, North Wales called "The Beechings". It is built on what used to be the railway line. I suspect the irony would be lost on those of a younger generation ;)
