Does anyone use a chest Harness to carry their camera whilst out walking?
I walk with poles so I find carrying a camera with a next strap a pain.

I hate neck straps. Haven't tried a chest harness, but I really liked my belt mounted padded camera case, back in the days of 35mm SLRs.

When I carried a chunky DSLR some years ago I used an
OMM Trio
chest pouch and it was surprisingly good (I've since abandoned the DSLR and succumbed to a compact in my hipbelt pocket). It didn't jiggle about at all and stayed firm to the chest, adding a little front counterbalance to the weight too.
The latest iteration of the Trio is called a
Chest Pod
.

I too used to use the Trio and can confirm it was good except for one thing, it wasn't waterproof.

I use a harness for my binoculars. It keeps them from swinging to and fro and even better it stops the neck from sweating.

I use a neck pouch for my phone/passport and so on and my wife's friend cut off the thin strap and sewed an old hiking stick wrist strap in its place. So comfortable.

Well, I Got a chest harness, and have to say so far it has done what I want it to. Hold my camera in place but still allow easy access. It was only £25 from Amazon.
