Loughrigg from Clappersgate
« on: 08:08:36, 11/07/08 »
9th July 2008

We left the car at the roadside near Brathay Bridge at Clappersgate and took the narrow path up to Todd Crag overlooking Windermere. From there we walked past Lily Tarn to make our way to the summit of Loughrigg via the viewpoint for Loughrigg Tarn. After descending down the Grasmere path to Red Bank I decided to return via Loughrigg Tarn to see if I could get any pictures of the Pikes.
It was only when I was checking my hand written diary that I realised that this was my 50th time up Loughrigg....If I'd known before setting off I'd have taken a bottle!
Pictures for the walk, for those wishing to view are now on the website.
Regards,
Dave

If, you're planning on taking a bottle, I think you should announce it here first Dave.  Then we'll all come and help you celebrate.
