Upper Teesdale ...
« on: 18:04:37, 16/06/08 »
Continued our explorations of Teesdale again yesterday, this time we went upto Cow Green Reservoir and walked round Herdship Fell, taking in the Nuttall summit of Veiwing Hill (well at least I think we found the summit, it was hard to tell which was the highest point amongst all the peat hags!) Our return was through the meadows near to the hamlet of Harwood, before crossing the moors again back to the car park. There was loads and loads of wild flowers in the meadows, we seemed to spend ages looking through our wild flower book trying to work out what they all were, but some of the ones we saw were Butterwort, Marsh Orchids, Birds Eye Primroses, Gentians. I've included few of the photo's that we took below, if anyone wants more details of the walk etc, full details can be found on my web site @ http://www.mywainwrights.co.uk/2008walks/150608/150608.html
