Glorious country without the sweat and tears, this is a good wander through some excellent and varied country (moors, pretty villages, forestry (but good forestry ie: with the views, pretty streams and excellent views of our 3 favourite peaks!) and the you will hardly see a soul.

Jonny,
Your touting (rightly so) of this walk through Oughtershaw couldn't come at a more opportune time.  Last autumn I arranged to rent a cottage in Oughtershaw for this coming October thru a website listing. I've been in the area before, passing thru to accommodations in Inglelton and York. It appears I've chosen a rather spectacular setting in which to stretch my legs and rest my head!

It looks like a great route Jonny, I've actually looked at doing a similar route before but never got around to it. Nice photos too, looks like it was a grand day.
