Thanks for the introduction to the Howling Howgills AJ  ......it took a huge dinner at the white lion and then around half an hour in a hot shower to make us feel (almost  ) human again - phew what a day!


Looking at the TR for the gill scramble, glad we went the other way and met you all at the bottom - it was great experience though and almost on a par with the Coniston Hurricane Day ..........so next time you will have to do better and I will expect no less than plagues of locusts and raining frogs

i was amazed you got out the next day all 5 layers of me clothes were soaked through i couldnt imagine walking in them the next day

Went up Hartsop above How over to Little Hart Crag and High Hartsop Dodd - great weather (apart from a tiny bit of snow on the top), soooooooo..............

It's gotta be Sooz or Micky .Everytime your out with them it's like an episode of It's a Knockout .You come back soaked .

Sorry guys, but I'm definitely not the albatross - my Back o'skiddaw meet a few weeks ago, was done in superb weather!

I confess I was home on Friday (should have been at work but got cancelled)...I could have gone up and got soaked I suppose, but thankfully I was tiling a shower room...phew.

Are you sure Howie wasn't there

Pete it really wasn't all that bad a day weather wise until just after lunch 


Note to self:- don't attend meet Howie or Sooz have put their name down on as weather won't be all that good

Lately neither Howie or sooz have been on any walks I have done and the weather has been crap all year on every meet.
 
I went about five years constantly visiting Wales and getting good weather then three times with you lot and its been Flooded out at Dolgam with Pete and then a wet Pen yr ole wen in October, A stormy Snowdon in February and then gale force winds on Crib Goch in May. whats that all about.
