Hello from new member BlueKnight...
« on: 21:52:26, 24/02/21 »
Hello all,  My name is Robert and I have been a keen walker for many years.  I retired in 2017 and moved to Chesterfield to be near the Peak District, which is one of my favourite walking areas.  I am looking forward to getting to know some of the members here and to getting involved in the various discussions on the boards.

Welcome from the Sussex coast.  I'm originally from near Chesterfield and love going back to Derbyshire to walk in the Peak District.

Welcome from south Manchester  :)

We walked the Peak District to death many years ago and honed our navigation skill on Kinder and Bleaklow: final test - make a beeline for Kinder summit in thick clag!.

Welcome from Yorkshire, moved up here 30 odd years ago having spent just over 3 years living in the Peak District.

Welcome to the forum from the southern edge of the Lake District. I have a soft spot for the gritstone edges on the eastern edge of the Peak District - I grew up in flat Lincolnshire and the likes of Curbar and Froggatt Edges made a big impression upon me, the nearest wild country, where you could see the bare bones of the Earth.
