Given the circumstances, I got a decent amount of waking done in 2020.
I got a few walks done late Feb/early March (Glyders and a couple of Kinder Scout trips), so managed to start the season.
It’s was a shame the first lockdown coincided with some great weather in March and April, as it North Wales/Lakes would’ve been fantastic.
When lockdown eased in late May, I took full advantage of the window of opportunity and did a couple of trips to Blencathra; some Peak District walks from Torside that I’d never done before; Kinder again; Langdale Pikes; Bowfell; High Carneddau; Glyders again; Tryfan; Snowdon; Chrome Hill; finishing off with another trip to Snowdon. Then lockdown in November finished the year.
I’d love to have done more, but don’t feel 2020 was a write off.
Not sure when the first walk of 2021 is going to be though. I don’t think travel restrictions will ease in February.
