Social walking groups in South Wales ?
« on: 12:44:45, 17/10/21 »
Live in a town called Cowbridge,  to the west of Cardiff , in the vale of glamorgan

Looking for walking groups in the area , not an experienced , dedicated walker and cannot do heavy duty hill and mountain walks due to an ankle injury .

Thank you .

Its dead posh in Bont Faen, had friends living in St fagans, and Cowbridge was always a very prosperous thriving community

Could you solve a problem for me.

Many years ago, i vividly remember seeing a photograph of legendary Holywood star, Clarke Gable, pulling a pint behind the bar, in the Bear.

He was a regular visitor to Atlantic college, then owned by Randolph Hurst.

I am trying to solve and argument with a friend from Carmarthen, saying i am mistaken, that Clarke Gable never went to the Bear.

Can you pop inside, and ask the staff or manager, on their memories of famous past visitors

That rumour is still about but I don't go into pubs lol 😆

Cowbridge is not really welsh , it may as well be a quaint little commuter town in Surrey
