and as if by magic...

That looks like a great route, as it gives you a taste of the Moel Eilio horseshoe without being quite as punishing.

As Dave said though, if you get the bus, you can create whatever one-way route takes your fancy.

yes, I use the Snowdon Sherpa quite a lot in order to vary my ascent/descent options. Or at least I did, I notice it's now gone up to £5 for a day ticket, not great value if you're just using it to a start point or from an end point.

Some lovely photos there, Mary. Not so keen on the queue to get a summit selfie!

Nice write up and pics, Mary.  I haven't done the Llanberis Path since I was about 9 or 10, on a beautiful summer day - looks like you had a bit more of the typical mixed bag!

Yes, nice report. Llanberis path is underrated. It’s also wrong to call it “easy” - by the time you’ve walked from your car, it’s over 10 miles, and there are a couple of quite steep bit (including the road at the beginning!).

I agree that it wasn't easy. The views and the feeling was so wonderful that I already missed it!

I like the Llanberis Path as a descent, maybe after doing the Moel Eilio round. A nice undemanding descent giving plenty of time to relax and let the mind wander, reminiscing about past walks or planning future ones, and of course Pete's Eats to look forward to.

Me too. Very underrated, and particularly enjoyable on a summer's evening with the sun setting in front of you

During my recent climb to Snowdon, I realised three hidden gems which were worth exploring. I have explained the details with some pictures and videos here:

Let me know if you have been at those spots as well   .

Great photo's and thanks for sharing. I'm heading for Snowdon in a couple of weekends time fingers crossed.

One thing is the very first photo is labelled as Crib Goch from Wales second highest peak but the ridge in the picture is actually Y Lliwedd..it's effectively taken from the top of Crib Goch and looks over Glaslyn towards Y Lliwedd

Snowdon really does look majestic from Crib y Ddysgl, in your second photo. Given a good covering of snow, it almost takes on an Alpine grandeur.

Regarding Crib Goch and Lliwedd - if you change this text to read 'see picture below' than all is good:

"Secondly, from Garnedd Ugain you get a dramatic view (see picture above) of Crib Goch..."
