Wales Coast Path - The Llyn Peninsula
« on: 21:38:45, 13/05/21 »
My account of an excellent four day backpacking / wildcamping walk around the tip of the Llyn Peninsula.  My first holiday in a year.  Very welcome and very good.

"I owe a big debt of gratitude to the Scouting movement." The same with me, it gave me the skills and competencies to continue with confidence (or stupidity!) in my later life. My original rucksack was the same, all the weight carried on the shoulders - I couldn't believe the difference when I bought a "proper" one!

Looks a lovely route - I do like coastal walking.  You chose the right few days to do it too - the last week or so could have been very soggy.

An enjoyable read of what must have been an excellent few days.
Hopefully we will be returning to the Lleyn after a long absence later this year.

An enjoyable account and pictures  O0

That was the exact same route we did many years ago and with much the same reasoning, Nefyn to Abersoch. I can't remember much about it actually, just walking 4 miles along Hell's Mouth beach in the rain. The difficulty with pitch spots and, to a lesser extent water, is what puts us off returning.

Excellent trip report of the Coastal path on the Beautiful Llyn  Peninsula .
I enjoyed reading It all a couple of times .
Nice description of all the walk and camping out .
This is a lovely part of North Wales .
And all the places you walked  I have visited on day walks .
Whilst Family Camping at Tudweiliog .
So It brought back happy memories lovely little coves and beach's ,rugged coastline and views out to the Irish sea .
It was a good test for your tent in the wind and rain .
As that coast from Nefyn to Aberdaron is very exposed to to strong  gale force winds .
One other thing ,the bus service is very good all around this area .
Wherever you are you can hail and stop the bus on the lanes to travel from village to your destination . ;)
Great for hikeing and backpacking . :D
Thanks for sharing  O0

On The  East side of the Llyn Peninsula
My favourite part

I have done lots  on the Welsh Coastal path day walks /hikes when I stayed In Penychain
Out to the Rocky headlands to The long flat sandy Aberech Sands  Around Pwllheli to Llanbedrog to Abersoch village around the Harbour
And always carried my swimming trunks and go for a dip on hot sunny days .
On the Glorious beach's .
Then get the Local bus back after a lovely day out
