Does climbing Kirkfell from Beck Head present any problems? I'm thinking of using Moses Trod as ascent route from Honister. Is the path thereafter straightforward?

Hi. I did Kirkfell about 5 weeks ago as part of a longer walk from Wasdale to Great Gable. Went up Black Sail and down Hell Gate. The climb I think you're describing I found to be quite difficult. Although there is a path it quickly becomes a fairly straightforward but quite exposed climb requiring both hands (well it did for me anyway!) and the route to the top is not obvious. I wouldn't consider myself an expert though so I think most walkers with some experience should be fine.

Edit: On thinking about it you're talking about another route which I came down Kirkfell on? If I'm right then the path is dead simple. Sorry.
