Yes, a very fine day up here. Raw out of the sun. My wife and I were out on the old bikes up from Aviemore for a round trip up to the loch area. Beautiful on the hills however it was long hill trousers on with a gillet and a fleece.
My daughter and friends were heading up for a ski down from the summit after work this evening.

Yes, a very warming up again this morning here. Snow disappearing fast on the Sgorans side of the range.
Our rolling stone child has managed another wee tour further into range for an afternoon on her skis.
No more having to cycle up to the carpark in Coire Cas...road open now.
Trying to get some more preparation in for the veg growing season and some seed going in the shed...radish, some pots with broad beans and peas to enable a start to be made in the still cold soil in early May I hope....Just under 300 metres here.

Hello, Been aware of the amount of snow still showing in the Coires of Braeriach both from looking into them from above Morlich and also a small glimpse of the western side from near to Kincraig.
Yesterday on my round trip from home off road on the velo to Morlich and after turning for home seeing a fine view from where the trail to Rothiemurchus Lodge splits eastwards  towards Loch an Eilein. The Coires looked to be fairly full of snow with the burned off ridges giving a good contrast.
During the very cold and wet May I didn't get out much so the legs began to cramp up on, the so shown on a Notice board  'unmaintained path',  from Eilein to Jack Drakes Bothy....first time that I have come across this in the hill areas?
Anyway so grand to out and about in the sunshine and to get away from chasing Rabbits that have set up a home to breed some seven young ones in the garden. >:(
