Just watched the Great Mountain Sheep Roundup from the Lake District, what a  incredible laid back & immersive programme. The scenery, commentary & poetry shows the BBC at it's best. When there is no commentary and you are just left with nature and the sound of birds, sheep and Border Collies you begin to realise what we are missing. A true gem of a program.

So did I.  I had seen it before, and enjoyed it, but got too warm and comfy while they were still right on the tops.......

Ashamed to say that I caught myself nodding off too! Didn't sleep well the previous night, comfy sofa, a couple of bottles of beer and a roaring log fire.... :-[

Great what I did see of it, my eldest son enjoyed it too.

Upper Eskdale on my 'To Do' list for a wild camp this year, also fancy camping really high, maybe Lambsfoot Dub or top of Rough Crag, somewhere really out of the way.

@ Jac, Richard, and IP
You can always finish watching it on iPlayer.

It was fascinating to watch the shepherdsd and their dogs working. But on a sadder note the film reminded me how very much I miss the Lake District high fells.

Yes - I have seen the sheep gather before - and I have kept sheep!

And the fells will still be there when Lockdown ends, Skip - get planning!
