I never get over the joy of seeing new born lambs . Always a good sign of things to come...

I think of it a sign of good things to come: with new potatoes, peas, and mint sauce.

Just enjoyed a superb leg of lamb, minted crab apple jelly from last autumn to round off a magic combination of flavours. My lambing started beginning of January, mostly indoors, so the sight of the scrawny little bodies we drew out of the labouring ewes, energetically stonking in the spring sunshine is a sight to lift spirits.

Escapees

I came face to face with a couple of escapees that had slipped under the electric fence . Looked like trouble makers to me . !

I felt a tad like the pied piper .

A night under silnylon. Doesn't have the same ring to it.

Got a couple of these trouble maker types nearby... cute though!

Pied piper reminds me of the time walking Tyne Way when sheep from three fields came trotting across to meet me, guess they thought it was feed time.

Enjoying your photos  O0

Minted crab apple jelly  - perfect with lamb. I thought I was the only only who still made it.

Now you are giving me ideas, Jac. Made some crab apple and rose hip jelly last autumn, and this year we have planted a crab apple tree.

We seem to be lucky up north. Today was stunning. Went to the Lakes.

Great photo of the classic view. What time did you take it?

Thanks. Just after 8:00. Wasdale is unbelievably beautiful from that angle.

This is the down view from Kirk Fell.
