I know a few people who have pitched there, not been there myself ... as yet :)

The first time I climbed Caw is saw that bit of grass and thought what a great pitch it would be  But still not tried it out  :)

And hurry up Richard...we cant sit around all night waiting for you ;D

Never occurred to me before, but after slogging up the steep southern slopes in the afternoon sun I saw the grassy ledge and thought 'that's where I am going to spend the night'.

Circuit of Loch Affric today with Mrs pdstsp and the hounds - wonderful easy walking in the most wonderful scenery, on a sunny day with a breeze blowing.  Perfect.

A very short walk in Dunnerdale followed by a delectable swim in the Duddon - the water was just perfect and the colours of the leaf filtered sunshine on the rocks under the water was enchanting.

A short four mile stroll and a little scrambling along Whitsands beach from Sharrow point towards Portwinkle and return wading around the points as the tide was out far enough by then. Finally a little swim with the jellies. The water was so lovely and warm after a few warm calm days.  :)

Out on Bodmin moor this afternoon. What a beautiful day it was. A perfect cooling breeze and the sun not too warm.  Enjoyed an hour scrambling and bouldering on Killmar tor ridge, amongst a 9 mile stroll over my favourite tors on the south moor..

Fairfield Horseshoe today in lovely walking weather with an old friend of 40 odd years. Cracking day, but I'll pay for it at work tomorrow.  ;D

Edited to say, anticlockwise, of course
