TR - Rest Dodd and The Nab 04/08/13
« on: 20:49:20, 05/08/13 »
Yesterday we walked from Cow Bridge and I completed the far eastern fells.

Here's the link to the photos. https://www.icloud.com/photostream/#A25Uzl7VvkYdx

Altho we were a bit late getting away, we were only the second car in Cow Bridge. It rained as we parked, so it wasn't an ideal start to the walk. But it stopped as we left Hartsop and apart from a few drops every now and again, that was all the rain we had to suffer.

I really expected The Nab to be dire with peat hags, but it wasn't too  bad at all - all easily negotiable or walkable through. And the red deer were a beautiful sight. We had great views of the surrounding fells once the clouds lifted.

We finished off the day by enjoying the sunshine from the terrace at the Brackenrigg Inn with amazing views of Ullswater, Hallin Fell and Heughscar Hill.
