On the South Downs

What with the covid restrictions and my feeling that it was best to keep the travel logistics simple, my walks this year haven't ranged anything like as widely as usual.  But I did a lot of walks on the South Downs between Findon and Eastbourne, so here are just a few photos.

Excellent photos. These bring back memories of when I used to live on the south coast. South Downs, the New Forest and Dorset coastal path were regular haunts. The scenery here in northeast Scotland is quite different.

Lovely photos which recall downland scenery of my childhood, living on the North downs and holidaying on the Sussex coast. Later I lived in Weymouth for a year walking the coast most weekends.
More recently enjoyed the Wessex Ridgeway following the chalk uplands from Marlborough down to Lyme Regis.
This year should have been The Ridgeway possibly leading onto the Icknield Way.

Walked both of those, very different walks and if you enjoyed the Wessex Ridgeway you'll certainly enjoy the Ridgeway, although there were times where I felt cheated as the 'ridge' was to one side of the trail, thankfully not too often

Oh what smashing pictures.  I actually looked at them yesterday on my phone and the first one looks positively mountainous    (phone distorts pics).
