I had to laugh when the paramedic said it would only be a small drop to the ground if the unit malfunctioned.Good luck to anyone who is willing to risk falling 10ft onto rocks whilst wearing a 90lb pack.
I heard this as well - you're flying with a jet pack, if you hit anything with that much weight on you it's going to hurt. When doing rope rescue training there are people who have had life changing injuries from taking a 1.5m fall, it is drummed in to you that falling is inherently dangerous when it's uncontrolled and on to hard ground. No matter how much people think they'd 'tuck and roll' or something.
It's a great system and cool they have managed to get it to work, but it seems more recreational than practical. A little like the what3words app.
