Local

Just a short local walk today along the coastline around high water. I was interested to see how the new coastal defences performed under stormy conditions. Difficult to stand in places and a bit of wave dodging involved but the defences seemed ok. Pictures now available.

I suppose you got the westerlies square on.  Those houses on the front look like defenders in front of a free kick - they know they've got to stand there but wish for a calmer place.  The coastal rock seems broken up rather than solid/massive.  Will it stay for long?
I think this next one will be the top ...

The rocks are between 2 and 5 tonnes each ......This is the final phase of the defences and none have moved elsewhere so it should be OK.
