Cracking photo jontea. Where is it in the Peak District?
Thanks guys for the kind comments. The photo was taken a mile or so out of Hartington, in Beresford Dale.

Fabulous photos Glyn. B&W shots certainly have something special about them - the detail is astounding.
I'm just scrolling back for another gawp !

Weather forecast was for Snow Showers up on Penyfan today, so went for a little wander....
70mph winds blowing sleet in my face made for an interesting walk, but loved every minute of it.

Only managed the one pic, took the 'motorway' route up today, up and down in 1hr 50mins, there was to be no hanging around in that weather today. Literally touched the trig point, turned around before I was blown over, and headed back down!

God I so love the Brecon Beacons!  :)

Some great pics on here again guys.
Can I ask what lenses you are using?
I'm on a Nikon D7200 mostly using the 18mm, but am very tempted to look at something wider....
(apologies in advance if I have asked this in the wrong section...)

A few from last weekend in the central Beacons

Taken from Cefn Cyff

This one shows an ice ball which had built up under swmbo's gaiter strap showing how cold it was

Touching from a distance, further all the time.

Cheers Wayne, we had a nice little cottage close to Cefn Cyff so did an 8 mile circuit up to Fan y Big and down the gap road  O0

Nice conditions. Stiff breeze though off the ridge!
Without wishing to teach people to suck eggs. Worth pointing out those ice balls are potentially dangerous and need to be removed rather than tolerated to avoid a slip.

That's exactly what we did, hence the pic  O0

To stop them forming the straps need to be tight underfoot, my mate had the same issue on our walk the other week.
Nice pictures as well
