It's bluebell time again.  They seem to have come out a bit earlier this year here in Devon.  This is Mrs. DD enjoying them yesterday in Burrator Wood.

Here's another view from the same walk yesterday.  This is Sheepstor.

Thanks Dovegirl.  The bluebells in Burrator Wood don't usually appear until about mid-May, probably because it's situated on high ground on the edge of Dartmoor.

The Bluebells were indeed lovely in Sussex and Hampshire  O0

although I really liked walking down this farm track between the rapeseed? and the sea and the start of the Seven Sisters cliffs in the background  :)

I love that photo, Bricam - the rapeseed is so vibrant against the sky. And it feels like you could almost step into the picture and walk down to the sea in the distance.  O0

Last Thursday I got this picture on my Panasonic compact Lumix TZ 80..It has a great Leica lens with a huge zoom, but as with any compact you really must learn to hold it really steady to avoid the inevitable camera shake.

Nice pic, seeing the rapeseed always brings back good memories from when I was younger - going on long sunny walks without a care in the world.

The more you zoom with a compact, the more shake you get!  Still a nice photo though Uncle d  O0
A fence post comes in handy...or a friends shoulder....when you need summat to help steady the camera.

The TZ80 has a viewfinder and a control ring round the base of the lens. When shooting with the zoom extended, hold the camera like you would hold a DSLR - with both hands, with left hand cradled round the control ring, and viewfinder to your eye. You can hold it much steadier like that.

Not exactly my "best pic of the day" but I know some of you will find a white phone box quite unusual:

Has it been converted to an information center?

We came across one on the Wessex Ridgeway being used as a Book Swap
So many paths yet to walk, so little time left

There's one at Hexworthy on Dartmoor that contains a defibrillator.
There's also one at Bellever on Dartmoor that has been painted light grey in order to blend in with the surroundings.  I think that one still has a phone.
