Wondering about changing my avatar to this one, still my kids walking away from me but not 10 years out of date. What do people think?

O0  They block out more of the scene than they used to !!
Only a hill but all of life to me, up there between the sunset and the sea.

Not posted anything for a while - I've been pretty uninspired photography-wise. Anyway, A few pics from today's walk up to Alport Castles:

Great pics FB O0   I thought the light was pretty good at times for photos today....and the clouds made for some rather dramatic shots too!
Did you see any rainbows?  We saw quite a few today on the Edale Skyline walk.

It's actually fairly easy to reach from Fairholmes Visitor's Centre at Derwent, on the west side of the reservoir.

Alport Castles: The best view is from lower down the landslip; it's not immediately obvious to find but there is a path. Beware: if it's been raining, the rockslide boulders can be treacherously slippy.

Walking past the Castles a bit is worth the effort as there's a great view down the Alport Valley.

Thanks and yes, the weather was quite erm, dramatic  ??? . I got soaked through about three times and then dried off by the sun again! The wind was crazy too later on. I didn't see any rainbows though (other than one when I got back into Sheffield early evening).

When you take a picture: place your tongue behind your teeth. It'll cause your facial muscles to relax. Models use this method all the time.

Don't photographers normally take pictures not models? And I'm not sure how we are going to convince the subjects that generally appear in the photos here to relax their muscles as they tend to be quite stony faced.
