I went to Horsham in the Sussex Weald today and did part of the Riverside Walk through beautiful woodlands on the urban fringe.

Headed out on Dartmoor again early this morning.  Made me chuckle to see a snowman at High Willhays.   ;D

Heading out into the Cheviots on Sunday, going to combine my walk with one of my other outdoor puruits, geocaching.  A nice 9.5 mile circular walk around some of the Cheviots more interesting crags around Langleeford.
I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake.

Peak District for me.  My first walk of over 5 miles since my Moel Eilio mooch....in fact, it'll be my first walk out of my home County since then as well.  I'm hoping for a cold, crisp and sunny day but will be happy just to be out on something with some sort of gradient, whatever the weather  :)

Glen Afton; first proper walk in three months. Some small patches of snow above 700m, but nothing much. Can feel it in my legs today though; amazing how quickly hill fitness disappears these days...

Drove up from Cornwall to the Brecon beacons today, with my son.  We walked the ridge around Pen-Y-Fan.  Fantastic weather, if a little chilly in the wind. I realised, as we walked, that I was exactly the same age, as my son is, when I last walked up there. Thoughtfully great day. :) O0

Did two separate walks today, one first thing this morning straight from my door and up the old railway track then across some fields.  Then one earlier this afty around the mudflats and marshlands at Paull.  I think I clocked up a total of 5 miles  :D

Heading up into the Cheviots on Sunday a nice 9.25 mile stretch of the legs around the Coquet Valley, Barrow Law and Windy Gyle to The Street.  Hoping for good visibility to take in the far-seeing English/Scottish panoramas, plan B if it is forecast for low visibility will be a walk along a stretch of Hadrian's Wall.

I walked from Saltdean to Seaford today, partly on top of the cliffs.  Very muddy!

Weather forecast for tomorrow's Cheviot walk is wall to wall fog except for between 11 and 12 when it will just be misty :D, looks like it's going to be a trip up to Hadrian's Wall.  A circular walk from Steel Rigg via Housesteads and Haughton Green Bothy looks favourite at the moment.

Oakamoor/Churnet Valley area for me today.  Just can't express how much I'm looking forward to being out.  Had a crap start to the year so far :(
