I was going to do a TR, but I'm a bit rubbish at them  ;D .
Instead, here are my pics from my walk...Wrynose Pass-Grey Friar-Swirl How-Great Carrs-Wrynose Pass

Dont think much of the new sign modification

Pike o Blisco and my parking spot

Winding Wrynose Pass towards Harter Fell

Wetherlam and Swirl How

Grey Friar

Grey Friars Matterhorn with Pike o Stickle just to the left

Scafell range

Swirl How, Wetherlam

Swirl How looking towards Scafell, had to crop out a summit slug on the right  :-\

Coniston Old man with Coniston Water

Weatherlam

Cant decide which one I prefer... B&W or the colour. Slightly different pics I know

Swirl How from Great Carrs

A tad busier than when we arrived

Great photos from one of my favourite rounds O0  I'm planning to climb Grey Friar in July from Wrynose. Can I ask is the route straightforward? Could it be done in 1 - 2 hours? Thanks, Henry

Love your pictures. Can I ask what settings you generally use to get your pics so sharp ? And do you use a filter to get such vibrant colours ?

TIA

Lovely photos Gazzer,
In answer to your question - I'd say B&W. It has more atmosphere and brooding which compliments the subject matter, compared to the colour shot which depicts a more pleasant/sunny day.

Great photos, no need for too many words.
I think I prefer the B&W version of the memorial. Try scrolling the page just enough to just crop out that large rock bottom centre - I think it improves the composition even more

Lovely photos.

I prefer the back and white.
