Are they/is it the same place? I know this is probably a silly question to those who know :)

I'm trying to plan a walk from Sheffield and need to organise public transport out to Derbyshire.

There's a Middleton-by-Youlgreave and a Middleton-by-Wirksworth in Derbyshire.  But I guess you're thinking of TM Travel's 65 bus?  It runs between Sheffield and Buxton via Stoney Middleton.

Yep, brilliant Dovegirl thanks it's the one on the 65 route. Somewhere in the haze of my brain I thought there was another one!

Just to hurl an irrelevant spanner in the works: there's a village in Oxfordshire called Middleton Stoney.
