We booked train to Edale from Suffolk and back from Berwick, as soon as they went on sale.  Although we used Tesco club cards points to book through red spotted hanky so never actually paid any money! Also got a Two together railcard at same time. So decided to splash out and get a taxi from KY to Berwick!  Landlady at the B&B we will be staying at in KY said that the B&B owners speak to each other and try and book taxis for people to share.

Booked the tickets this morning for the 1st August. £22 all the way from Newcastle to Edale, impressed with the price. Not concerned with the return from Kirk Yetholm as I can sort a lift. Now for the research and planning!

I've only been on the Cheviot stretch and Cross fell in my youth so it will be all new ground.

You can get a train to Edale, at the end from KY I took buses to Berwick and trained from there.

Or follow St Cuthbert's Way to the main road south of Berwick and catch a bus to Newcastle, if you are from NE
Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're NOT all out to get me.
